Maritza is a current intern who attends the University of St. Thomas Graduate School of Professional Psychology in which she is currently on an LPCC track. At the end of her studies, Maritza will earn a Master of Arts. She also obtained her bachelor's of Arts in psychology with a minor in family studies at the University of St. Thomas. Maritza is interested in working with young adults/ emerging adults. I think this is an age group that could really use a lot of support. Maritza is interested in depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief work. She is also bilingual speaking English and Spanish. Maritza chose a track in psychology because it was fascinating to see how our minds really work, while also being able to help those in need of support. Maritza’s personal philosophy is that it's never too late to seek help. In her free time Maritza enjoys going on walks and meeting up with friends. She also enjoys trying new coffee shops.
