Renita Wilson, LICSW


Renita has provided therapeutic services with Kente Circle since joining the team in February 2011. Renita has a multitude of skills, experience, and expertise surrounding issues related to Family and Children services: Child Protection, Foster care, and Adoption as well as working with Adults and Adolescents in Mental Health spanning 20 plus years. Renita is an approved supervisor for the Board of Social Work, and currently supervises clinical trainees seeking their MSW Degree and those on the clinical licensure track.


At Kente Circle, Renita approaches her clinical work as she does all areas of her professional encounters; client centered, respectful, open-minded, and honoring their story. Renita’s clinical perspective includes the exploration of meaning-making from life experiences, exploring family patterns, and promoting healthier personal and interpersonal relationships.


Outside of Kente Circle, Renita is a member of Minnesota’s Black Social Workers, a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, an Adjunct Professor at Saint Thomas University, and Independent Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Consultant.


Renita is passionate about utilizing your expertise of your life, to assist and support you on your journey to healing.
