Kelsey Lundquist, MA, LMFT

Kelsey Lundquist (she/her/hers) has been practicing as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2016. She began her time at Kente Circle as a clinical trainee in 2012 and joined the team in 2013 following receiving her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from the University of St. Thomas. She has experience providing In-home, outpatient, and group therapy services and works with individuals, couples, and families. Kelsey is also a Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Approved Clinical Supervisor, providing clinical supervision to clinical trainees and practitioners working toward licensure in marriage and family therapy.

Kelsey believes our relationships, connections, and past experiences greatly shape our lives. She meets clients from a strength-based, relational-focused approach that is systemic in nature. Foundationally, Kelsey works with clients to process how we interface with systems of oppression based on our social/cultural position. She supports clients in identifying the intersectionalities of their identities and how they are impacted by and/or engage with various systems of oppression. She provides culturally responsive therapy services to both BIPOC and white-identifying clients. She works with clients to consider the impact of multiple systems - from the intra-personal relationship one has with oneself to greater societal systems - on our lives and mental health. Kelsey feels privileged to walk along side clients in their journey through therapy, and is passionate about highlighting and utilizing client’s and families’ strengths, and honoring each family’s cultural values in the healing process.
