Family Functional Therapist

Zayed Lamu is a licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Minnesota, holds a Masters Degree in Psychology and is a PH. D candidate in the field of psychology. She has many years of experience working with youth and families, and a passion for doing work in the areas of program development and evaluation. Currently Zayed is working within the framework of Functional Family Therapy (FFT). As a FFT therapist she is able to work with families from a holistic point of view and is able to utilize her own theoretical base, which has evolved from the transpersonal lens of psychology. Her passion to understand the role culture plays in the achievement of human beings’ highest potential along with identity formation are what fuel Zayed to do the work she does. And in the process to continue to improve her understanding of the role mental health can play in the achievement of healthy communities, thus healthy community members.
