Agency Background
Kente Circle was formed as a Limited Liability Corporation in 2004 to provide In-Office therapeutic services centered on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental illness. The founders and co-owners of Kente Circle are Larry G. Tucker, LMFT and J. Phillip Rosier, LMFT. Combined, the co-owners have over 30 years of experience in the mental health field. Their experience includes working with EBD children and adolescents, individuals, families, couples, outpatient and residential sex offender programs, group home settings, three (deleted the word different) in-home agencies, diversity training, train-the-trainer for diversity education, program management and development for stated areas, and providing American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy Supervision, as well as, Minnesota State Approved LMFT supervision.
From its inception, Kente Circle was formed as a teaching agency to provide culturally competent therapy, education, supervision, consultation and training services. In 2005, Kente began a collaborative relationship with Argosy University, located in Eagan, MN. Each year, 7 to 10 student interns are selected to join our team for one year. The interns and staff provide supervised individual, couple, and family counseling in partnership with a mental health practitioner. These students are integrated into the structure of Kente Circle and trained to be culturally competent therapists as they work side-by-side with the mental health practitioners.
